Mary Evanston

Vice President, PSG Capture
Mary is vice president of Capture and has more than 20 years of experience growing new business and leading complex captures in the federal government.

Mary has more than 20 years of experience leading the largest, most complex captures in the federal government. With a background in computer science and mathematics, Mary leverages her technical skills to guide her federal clients to proven and secure technologies to achieve their missions today and in the future.

Mary is a known expert in growing business — she has mastered every sector of the new-business lifecycle, including long-range planning, growth account creation, pipeline development, building customer relationships, capture management, and proposal creation. She led several of the largest federal captures over the last two decades, frequently winning billion-dollar contracts.

Mary supports her federal clients from multiple trajectories, including systems integrators, consultancies, and product vendors. Earlier in her career, Mary held executive-level capture leadership positions at Lockheed Martin, Booz Allen Hamilton, IBM, AT&T, and CACI. She has supported the defense and intelligence communities, civilian agencies, and state and local agencies.

Mary is passionate about leading high-performing teams and mentoring others in the Capture manager career path. Mary is a practitioner; she applies her field of study in applied and computational mathematics as the foundation to meet the future technology needs of her clients’ market. Mary applies a logic-based, problem-solving approach to her chosen fields of quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and data science. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in pure mathematics. Mary is currently pursuing a M.S. in data science from the University of Virginia and a Masters Certification in statistics and data science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is ultimately working towards a Ph.D. in quantum engineering.
